I made it...
Hey friends--
Today is my first full day in Jordan, I'm sitting in the computer lab of the Iraqi refugee school here, its about halfway through the school day. The border crossing from Israel was relatively uneventful, and the L-rd blessed me with meeting a guy who shared a taxi with me to Amman, cutting the cost in half. Last night I slept with on the floor of the flat where the Hillman family is living for just a month, since they are in transition this month from their regular apartment until they leave on furlough next month. Jordan is pretty sweet... I'm excited to be jumping right into the thick of things right away since I don't have jet lag or much culture shock to deal with since I've been living in Israel and have visited Egypt. However, I'm also definitely relying on the L-rd for strength, since there's a lot involved that I have no idea what what I'm doing... This afternoon I think I'm suppossed to be helping teach a few English classes, and I only know a few words of Arabic. Be praying please! I believe that I've already felt the effects of your prayers. I'm not sure how careful I need to be about my words do to the nature of my work this next month, so I'm playing it safe with some of my word choice... so please be sensitive on how you post on my blog if you do. The workers here in Amman are very helpful and supportive. I'm in for quite an experience in the next few weeks I think! Thank you for your prayers, I miss you all!
